Off the Beaten Path (2015) : 3x6

Zuzana, a mother of two, moved from Bratislava to South Africa with her Italian husband in search of a better academic environment for their autistic son, and they have never looked back. In a city shaped by contrasts of wealth and poverty, she follows her passion by working with local charities, while also introducing us to food projects that help bridge these divides. We visit a unique botanical garden and venture into one of the city’s toughest areas, where a well known spot serves freshly grilled meats straight from the butcher, with a local DJ setting the mood. We also head out to catch fresh lobster and explore nearby vineyards, discovering a region full of contrast, flavour, and resilience.
