Mária is 71 years old and a remarkable guide who proves that age is just a number. She has lived in Bolivia for over forty years, and her heart belongs to La Paz, where she shares her life with her close friend Marta. Mária takes us above the city on the cable car system used as everyday public transport, and guides us through La Paz’s vibrant markets, including those filled with amulets and traditional remedies. We sample bold local specialties, from cow udder to street grilled offal, considered true delicacies here. Through Mária’s eyes, we experience the city with warmth, energy, and a deep love for this unique part of the world.
