Large cabbages, watery lettuce, and freshly picked radishes. A vegetable vending machine in a residential area in Tokyo's Nerima Ward. It is a coin-operated locker-type machine, and customers put money in and take it out. A father and son came for lettuce grown in the field in front of their house. A man stops by on his way home from his daily run and buys some to please his wife. Nerima Ward has the most farmland in Tokyo's 23 wards and is home to many vegetable vending machines. For three days, the camera is set on a somewhat mysterious vending machine
